At Leyli Sanat Derneği, we organize Candle Making Workshops that provide participants the opportunity to create handmade art pieces. Facilitated by our members Büşra and Esra Güllüoğlu, these workshops are carried out with contributions from Rosale Cosmetics. Participants learn and experience all stages of candle making, allowing them to create their own designs.

The candle making workshop is typically planned as an interactive event lasting a few hours. At the beginning of the workshop, participants are informed by the instructors about the basics of the candle making process, the materials to be used, and safety instructions. Then, the steps such as melting wax and adding essential oils and colorants are shown step-by-step by the instructors.

Participants have the opportunity to create their own designs during this process. They can make unique candles using different molds or decorative elements. The instructors guide the participants at each step and answer their questions. While the candles are left to cool, participants usually have the chance to decorate their candles as well.

At the end of the workshop, participants can take their own candles home. In some workshops, the candles are delivered immediately, while in others, they are collected, packaged, and sent to the participants later.

About the Facilitators:

Büşra and Esra Güllüoğlu, born in Istanbul, started producing natural and handmade products by founding Rosale Cosmetics. Both sisters have had a long-standing interest in handicrafts and share their knowledge and experience with participants by organizing Candle Making Workshops under the umbrella of Leyli Sanat Derneği.
